Back to CDPass FAQ
What can I do if I receive a "No
appropriate disc in the drive" error?
Your media player may have the CD/DVD
drive locked. Exit your media player application.
Other programs sometimes lock access
to the CD/DVD, and then do not release control (even though the
program has been closed) until the system has been restarted. Try
leaving the disc in the drive, restarting the system and then going
directly to the promotion.
Some very old CD-ROM drives (especially
older CD Writers) don't have the firmware necessary for access by
ActiveX, the only solution for this is to use a different Drive.
Some CDPass enabled music releases
are applicable only to specific discs of a release for example a
bonus disc of a deluxe edition. You may simply not have purchased
the disc that unlocks the bonus content. If you question this, click
the link below, we can help you.
